Christmas Celebrations December, 2014

Christmas celebrations at NPS, International, included special assemblies, carols, invited artists and visit by Santa, to the school.

The ambience of the school was turned into green, white and red with a colourfully decorated Christmas tree to add to the beauty of the school. The boards were done up with Christmas cards and various craft activities.

The Early Learning had lots of craft and colouring activities, take away and attire to add on to the festive mood. The class assembly put up by the students of Grade 4 was on the theme Christmas and every student participated with much enthusiasm. The assembly had Christmas humour, a quiz to test the Christmas knowledge, a Christmassy thought for the day and a narrative drama that recreated the nativity scene ably supported by the class choir.

The invited programme included Mr. Saravanan’s brilliant performance on the keyboard. He played different styles of music, ranging from western to carnatic.

Mr. S. Rajaram, on his flute, played soothing melodies and carol songs which was so pleasant to the ears.

The Christmas carols sung by the school choir and the arrival of the Santa made the children very happy. Their eagerness to discover which of their teachers was dressed as Santa was really a sight to watch.

Children and the faculty members wrapped up the festive mood turning up in red and green attire.
