Sanskrit Day Celebration (29 August, 2016)

29th August was a day that was dedicated to the Sanskrit Language.

Sanskrit Day celebration began with the prayer song, Shlokas in Sanskrit were recited students of Grade 5 to 8. A short and sweet speech on ‘Sanskrit Diwas’ was delivered by Adarsh of Grade 10. Facts about Sanskrit were shared with the audience.

Dance has always been a major contributing factor to our culture. The Bharatanatiyam classical dance for Sanskrit song ‘Suras Subodha’ was performed by Thressa Sara Charles, Avanthika, Nidhi Manoj, Laksmi venkat, Urvi Deshmukh and Isabella of grade 8. It was well coordinated and a memorable one. The song ‘Vanthemaatharam’ was played very melodiously in Violin by Pranay Venkatesh of Grade 10.

The celebration became vibrant through a fantastic skit on famous story of ‘Panch Pandavas- Yaksha Yudhishtir Samvad’ done by Akhilesh, Vaishnav, Vineeth, Rahul, Raghav and Sahil. That was very exciting and enjoyable. A very informative ‘Shlokas’ rendered by the Students of Grade 7 reminded the students towards their duties and responsibilities.

As a part of Sanskrit day, the school had the Sanskrit names of the important rooms in the school printed and displayed. Sanskrit translation of the names of various rooms in the school were displayed.

It was a thought provoking and enjoyable program for all put up by the Sanskrit Students.
