Coastal State Gujarat

Grade 1 A students showcased their talent during their class Assembly on 2nd April 2024. Their topic was one of the coastal states of India Gujarat. The Assembly started giving the audience a bigger picture of the physical location of Gujarat on the map of India. The journey to Gujarat was taken through a play “Colours of Gujarat”. Here, the highlight was the textile industry. Children portrayed different roles of weavers of Bandhani and block printing and explained them with precision with blocks and threads. They spoke about the different culture-rich city. The Diamond City and Ahmedabad, city of Kite festival was showcased through the Kite dance.

Children performed on most vibrant dance Garbha and dandiya They all looked so vibrant wearing the traditional dress of Gujarat twirling and whirling to the rhythm of the song and beats of “Chaughada Tara”.

Children spoke different facts about Gujarat followed by special guests on stage from Mahatma Gandhi, Vallabh bhai Patel to Vikram Sarabhai and Modiji. They all walked and spoke in the demeanor of their characters.

Finally, the quiz was conducted on different facts about Gujarat. Last but not least they presented a beautiful rendition of Gandhiji’s favourite song Vaishnav Jana to Tene Kahiye Je” They sang the song knowing the meaning of every word. The show ended with a vote of Thanks. All of them outperformed in the assembly.
