Founders' Day 2024
On 12th June 2014, the portals of NPSIC welcomed teachers, parents and students for the very first time. Since then, there has been no looking back. To mark this day, the school celebrates Founder’s Day annually. This year, 14th June saw teachers and students of grades 1 to 12 gather in the auditorium to recognise and value the efforts of its founding fathers.
The students of Grade 9- 12 invoked the blessings of Lord Ganesha and made a propitious start to the program. The welcome address stressed on the achievements of the school, the great strides it has taken towards its growth and plans for the future. It also lauded the contributions and vision of the Chairman Dr. K P Gopalkrishna and expressed gratitude for establishing the NPS group and creating the foundation for the many schools in the group.
In her address Principal Mrs. Sudha Balan spoke about the legacy of the founder and conveyed how important it was that we carry forward the legacy and make it reach greater heights. Vice Principals Mrs. Ranjani Ayyar and Mrs. Radhika Madhavan highlighted the three most important things that we could all learn from our founder- be aspirational, be humble and work hard.
The program was a unique mix of the past and the present. We had alumni speaking about the school and appreciating what it had given them along with students who are currently studying here sharing their journeys with their peers. Students right from primary years to the senior years shared their happy moments from school and reiterated how much they had gained from the school. They lauded the school and teachers for their kindness and warm approach.
The talks were interspersed with a song Unstoppable which echoed the vision of the founder followed by a foot-tapping fusion dance from students of grades 9 to 12. The program ended with the vote of thanks and was enjoyed by one and all.
