Grade 7 visit to Pondicherry
An educational day trip to Pondicherry was organised for the Grade 7 students on Thursday, 2nd July 2026. A comprehensive itinerary was successfully implemented to foster historical awareness, collaboration, and personal development among the students. The journey commenced from the school premises at 6:00 am, with a brief stop at 7:30 am for a nutritious breakfast at the A2B Hotel. Pondicherry was reached at approximately 9:30 am, and the first official visit was held at the Mother Ashram at 10:30 am, where all participants experienced a serene environment. At 12:30 pm, a buffet lunch was served at Hotel Jayaram, followed at 1:30 pm by a session featuring music and interactive games to promote teamwork. High tea was served at 3:00 pm, and a drive-through tour of the local Museum and Beach was immediately taken at 3:30 pm. The departure from Pondicherry was initiated at 4:30 pm, and the students were safely dropped back at the school premises by 8:00 pm.
Significant educational and personal milestones were achieved during the excursion. The rich and diverse history of Pondicherry was thoroughly explored and learned by the students through the targeted site visits. Furthermore, peer-to-peer collaboration was actively practised during group tasks, thereby reinforcing essential life skills and teamwork. Opportunities for independent decision-making were also provided throughout the day, and time was allocated for meaningful self-reflection. Ultimately, the field trip was concluded successfully, with all scheduled learning objectives and recreational milestones being met efficiently.
