World Music Day 2025
This year's World Music Day celebration at NPSI was truly special, and it was all thanks to our senior year students! They put together an amazing interactive musical session for the younger students in the auditorium, turning it into a vibrant hub of rhythm and melody.
The celebrations kicked off with an energetic rhythm circle using body percussion. The auditorium was buzzing as the audience was split into two teams, ready to make some music without any instruments. Led by the seniors, the room soon filled with perfectly coordinated claps and stomps, creating a powerful and unified sound. It was incredible to see everyone getting into the groove and moving together!
Next up, the students dived into a cannon activity. By counting rhythms together, students got to experience how different sounds can combine beautifully, improving their sense of timing and coordination at the same time. It was a fantastic hands-on way to understand music.
Our talented school band then took the stage and really got the audience going with a lively medley of popular songs. But the musical treats didn't stop there! Some of our senior students also shared a wonderfully soothing instrumental performance. Their skill and musical expression shone through, creating a calm and beautiful atmosphere that captivated everyone.
The session wrapped up with an engaging musical quiz. Every single student participated with enthusiasm, showing off their musical knowledge and having a blast trying to answer the tricky questions. It was a great way to end the event on a high note, full of fun and friendly competition.
Overall, this World Music Day event was a massive success. It did an excellent job of encouraging peer learning, boosting creativity, and building a much deeper appreciation for music among all our students. It was a truly memorable day that highlighted the joy and power of music at NPSI!
