Grade 8A Assembly
On July 8, 2025, students from Grade 8A put on a great assembly about Nature and Sustainability. The theme was "Nurture Nature for a Better Future," and it aimed to show everyone why we need to protect our environment. The assembly started with a warm welcome from the hosts. They talked about how beautiful nature is and how it's our job to look after it. Then, they shared a thought for the day: "The Earth is what we all have in common. Let’s take care of it together." This reminded everyone that we all share the planet. Some students also shared recent news about environmental issues, connecting global problems to our local actions.
A special moment was when a group of students sang "Heal the World" beautifully. After that, a powerful play called "Earth Speaks" was performed. In the skit, Earth itself asked for help, explaining the harm caused by air pollution, deforestation, plastic, and polluted rivers. Two students, called "Change Makers," then came on stage, bringing hope. They promised to use eco-friendly habits and inspire others. This led to a positive change in the characters causing harm.
The assembly ended with a serious "Green Pledge." Three students led everyone in promising to reduce, reuse, and recycle, save water, plant trees, and avoid plastic. They also vowed to inspire others for a sustainable future. After this, a fun quiz tested the audience's knowledge about eco-friendly topics, from the 3R principle to renewable energy. Parents were also asked to share their own eco-friendly habits and how they help the environment. The assembly finished with a strong message from two students: "Which future do we want? The choice is in our hands."
The Grade 8A assembly was a big success. It showed how important environmental protection is through strong performances and fun activities. It was a great reminder that even small steps can make a huge difference for a healthier planet.
