Grade 8C Assembly
The students of Grade 8C put together a lively and meaningful morning assembly on the theme “Unforgettable Heroes of India.” The program was a celebration of patriotism and a heartfelt tribute to the people who have shaped India through their courage, dedication, and sacrifice.
The assembly began with a warm welcome to the audience. The Thought for the Day was, “A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself.” The compère introduced the theme in a simple yet inspiring way, talking about how important it is to be a responsible citizen and to take pride in our country.
The main part of the program was a drama that took everyone on a journey through India’s history, led by a wise old man. The story began in a classroom, where students were given a project on national heroes. While they were wondering how to do it, the old man appeared and, through his stories and imagination, transported them into some of India’s most important moments.
The audience enjoyed powerful scenes like Rani Lakshmibai bravely fighting against British rule, the joy of the 1983 Cricket World Cup win shown through a meeting between Kapil Dev and a young M.S. Dhoni, Rakesh Sharma’s proud words from space—“Saare Jahan Se Achha,” and a moving tribute to Lata Mangeshkar with the song “Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon.”
After the drama, there was a quiz round that got the audience thinking and joining in. A high-energy patriotic dance to “Jai Ho” brought more excitement, and a group song “Chhodo Kal Ki Baatein” sent out a message of moving ahead with pride.
The Vote of Thanks showed appreciation to the Principal, teachers, and students for their support. The assembly was well-prepared, creative, and full of national pride.
