Grade 9A Assembly
The students of Grade 9A had the privilege of presenting their school assembly on the theme “Patriotism”. The programme aimed to nurture a deep sense of love for the nation while reminding everyone of the importance of preserving one’s roots, culture, and heritage.
The assembly began with the school prayer and the national pledge, setting a solemn and inspiring tone. This was followed by a welcome speech that introduced the theme of patriotism and highlighted its relevance in today’s times. The Thought for the Day carried a meaningful message on the love for one’s country and respect for heritage, which resonated well with the audience.
A thought-provoking speech on patriotism was delivered, emphasizing that true patriotism is not only about loving the nation but also about upholding cultural identity and contributing positively to society. The highlight of the programme was a powerful skit titled “Not to Forget Our Roots.” Students enacted a dramatic scene from the life of Veerapandiya Kattabomman, portraying his valor and defiance against oppression. The performance received loud applause and admiration, as it stirred emotions of pride and reverence among the spectators.
The assembly also featured a patriotic song and dance performance that filled the auditorium with energy, unity, and pride. To engage the audience further, a quiz was conducted with questions on India’s history, national symbols, and the freedom movement, which witnessed enthusiastic participation.
