Grade 6 Field Trip, Mahabalipuram

On 2 July 2026, the Grade 6 students enjoyed a field trip to Pancha Rathas and Shore Temple in Mahabalipuram, followed by a visit to Coral Resort on ECR Road. The trip offered students an opportunity to step outside the classroom and experience history in a meaningful way while spending time with their peers.

The students left the school campus at 8:50 AM and reached Mahabalipuram by 10:00 AM. Their first stop was Pancha Rathas, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its remarkable rock-cut monuments. An educational guide shared interesting facts about the five monolithic structures and explained their historical and architectural significance during the Pallava period.

The students then visited Shore Temple, an 8th-century granite temple complex built during the reign of Pallava King Narasimhavarman II. They explored the intricate carvings and enjoyed the scenic view of the sea surrounding the temple, making the visit both informative and memorable.

After the heritage tour, the students proceeded to Coral Resort. They were welcomed with a refreshing drink and enjoyed a vegetarian lunch before taking part in a music and dance session. The afternoon was filled with outdoor games and time spent in the playground and open field, giving students a chance to relax and have fun together. Tea and sandwiches were served before the group departed from the resort at 4:00 PM.

The students returned to the school campus at 5:05 PM and were safely dispersed. The field trip provided a wonderful balance of learning and recreation, helping students appreciate India's rich cultural heritage while creating happy memories with their classmates.
