Assembly Grade 2A, 2023-2024
The students of Grade 2A actively participated in the ‘The Coastal regions of India ‘representing Kerala State on 28th February 2024.
The Assembly started with the thought for the day followed by an introduction to the physical location of Kerala. The culture of Kerala, tourist places, popular foods, dance forms were portrayed in a picturesque manner.
The serene beauty of the back waters, the lush green paddy fields and the calming, soothing, rhythmic sound of water was all captured in the poise recitation of the poem by the children with action written by Rajesh Thankappan.
The dancers were decked up in the traditional dress of Kerala adorned with beautiful smile on their faces dancing to the tune of the famous song ’Kera Niragal’. Children danced across the stage with elegance and poise which was a sight to behold.
The story of Onam was portrayed through a tableau and the children enacted the scene revisiting the virtues of King Mahabali in our minds. The eloquence in storytelling skills exhibited by the young children along with the enactment, props and supporting visuals in the presentation of Vamana was a feast for the eyes.
Children mesmerised the audience with the melodious rendition of the boat song-Kuttanadan Punjayile. The lively catchy folk song sung by the young ones in the assembly truly celebrated the spirit of competition and victory. The program concluded with the quiz masters asking questions.
Children participated with great zeal and enthusiasm in the assembly and made it a great success.
