"Hark now hear! The Angels sing…. A king was born today”
The spirit of Christmas was evident at NPSI with the angels singing and creating a festive atmosphere. Set up as two shows, 46 students from grades 9 and 11 put up the Christmas show. The show began with the enactment of the Nativity Scene that showcased the events prior to the birth of Jesus Christ to the visit by the three wise men. Interspersed with the lilting carols, the poignant portrayal resonated with the audience. The carol singers uplifted the buoyant spirit that Christmas is famed for. The angelic dance added colour and vibrancy to the programme.
The arrival of Santa Claus generated excitement and brought cheer and hope. Though awed, one could hear the loud whispers as each one tried to guess the (wo)man behind the mask. Our Principal Ms Sudha Balan extolled the values that Christmas stood for and her wishes were accepted in good cheer. Students left the auditorium sporting bright smiles and cheery hearts.
