Stage Craft 2019

Stage Craft took place on March 2, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Chief Guest for the evening was theatre personality Mr. A. Krishnan. The three plays performed - “The Wise Man’s Challenge” by Grade 8, “Diwali Aaj Kal” by Grade 7, and “Mittoo’s Island” by Grade 6 - were developed and performed in association with Alchemy Kids’ Theatre.

The show began with a play by the students of Grade 8, portraying a tale of witty Birbal. The actors playing Emperor Akbar and his Defense Minister were very convincing and did justice to their roles. Next up was a street play by Grade 7, which was by turns hilarious and thought-provoking. Their transitions from one scene to another were carried out to perfection and the way they handled the microphones was effortless. Finally, it ended with Grade 6 performing a thought-provoking fantasy play. It made everyone aware of how development can cause harm to our environment. The chief guest appreciated the valuable message and concept through the plays.

Our Principal Mrs. Balan made the closing remarks where she talked about all the work put in to the show, including the costumes and accessories and all the days of practice.

All in all, the show was a grand success!
