Assembly: Grade 5 E, August 2023

Grade 5E put together their 1st assembly in the auditorium. The theme of this assembly was ‘Air’-one of the 5 elements of nature. The hosts created a light-hearted and engaging atmosphere throughout the assembly.

The students welcomed the audience and began by highlighting the importance of air and shared interesting facts. They presented a skit involving a group of friends trying to taste different flavours of air in a humorous way. The unique comparisons and witty anecdotes kept the audience entertained and laughing in unison.

Next, the hosts discussed the metaphorical association of air with freedom and presented a dance performance to the song ‘Wavin’ Flag’. The assembly continued with magic tricks and stand-up comedy. The hosts engaged the audience with playful metaphors about air, comparing it to a gym buddy, an invisible bully, a ninja, and more.

While singing the FIFA World Cup song – ‘Feel the magic in the air’, students pumped up the crowd with their rhythm and enthusiasm. A culmination of the assembly was the quiz related to the assembly theme. Each grade and even parents got a quiz question. The stage presence of the quiz masters, the eager participation of the audience and applause for the winners made the event a treat to the senses.

Grade 5E drew the curtains on their assembly with a vote of thanks and invited Ms. Uma Rajesh to share her thoughts on the assembly.
