Eid the festival of sacrifice and brotherhood observed all over the world by Muslims with great fervor at NPSI Chennai. To commemorate the occasion of Eid-al-Adha, a colourful and engaging video was shared across classes. Through the video, children were introduced to the foundation of a multicultural society with values of brotherhood, tolerance, peace, compassion and solidarity. They understood the meaning, purpose and importance of Ramzan and the subsequent celebration of Eid. The students were briefed about living harmony in a diverse society.

This festival brings special cheer for the children as they wear new clothes and get money or Eidi and sweet on the occasion. It reiterated the importance of celebrating this festival by sharing joy, meeting others, distributing sweets among their loved ones and giving alms to the needy.

Students of Early Learning had a special celebration with music, greetings and a video story emphasising on the value of sharing following which they coloured Eid celebration pictures. Students of grades 1 and 2 enjoyed the Eid celebration video and engaged in a craft activity that saw a burst of colour, creativity and joy.

All in all, this was a wonderful and informative day for the children and everyone enthusiastically enjoyed the celebrations.
