Christmas Celebrations 2025
The festive spirit of Christmas filled the campus of NPS International, Chennai, on 23rd December 2025, as students of Grades 3 and 11 came together to present a heartwarming and vibrant Christmas programme. The celebration beautifully reflected the true essence of the festival—spreading messages of love, hope, peace, and goodwill—through a rich blend of music, drama, dance, and narration.
The programme commenced on a solemn and traditional note with the ceremonial lighting of the Christmas wreath by the respected Principals. The gentle glow of the candles set a serene tone for the event. This was followed by a warm welcome address and an insightful introduction by the student anchors, who highlighted the deeper meaning of Christmas, emphasizing compassion, generosity, humility, and the joy of giving.
The celebration opened with a soulful musical performance by the Grade 11 choir, presenting the Hallelujah Chorus, which created an uplifting and reverent atmosphere. The highlight of the programme was the beautifully enacted Nativity scene, presented collaboratively through expressive drama, narration, and melodious carols. Students portrayed key biblical characters—Mary, Joseph, angels, shepherds, and the Wise Men—with simplicity and grace, bringing alive the story of the birth of Jesus Christ and its timeless values of faith and hope. The musical rendition of “Mary’s Boy Child” further enhanced the experience, filling the auditorium with festive joy.
Grade 3 students added a delightful charm to the programme with their vibrant theatrical enactment of the Nativity, complemented by a graceful Angel Dance and soulful carol singing. Their energetic dance performance titled “The Light of the World” symbolized the triumph of goodness and light, leaving the audience captivated. A heartwarming classroom-themed presentation on sharing and kindness added an emotional touch to the celebration.
The programme also featured a lively carol-singing session with popular songs such as “Deck the Halls” and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” encouraging enthusiastic audience participation and creating a cheerful, inclusive atmosphere. Adding to the festive excitement was a spirited dance performance set to “Jingle Bell Rock,” showcasing excellent coordination and stage presence.
The celebration concluded on a joyous note with a grand Carols Finale, where all students sang together, followed by a surprise entry of Santa Claus and his elf, much to the delight of the young audience.
The event was a resounding success, reflecting the creativity, confidence, and teamwork of the students. It left the audience—especially students of Grades 1 to 5—with smiles, warmth, and festive cheer as they headed into their winter holidays.
