Founders' Day 2018
The bright and sunny morning of the 18th of June marked the Founder’s Day of our school NPSI, which has stepped into its fifth year. This day is celebrated with a sense of gratitude and pride, reflecting on the visions of the school, the various accomplishments over the last four years and continue to strive and achieve. We also celebrate the success and the achievements of our sister institutions in India and abroad.
This year’s celebration with our senior students taking charge of the entire programme. Hariharan Venkat and Adarsh Krishna Vallurupalli compered the show in a professional manner. The event began with Mrs. Sudha Balan, our Principal, inspiring and motivating the students to work hard and make dreams into reality. She spoke about the determination and perseverance that our founder, Dr. K P Gopalkrishna along with our Dean Mrs. Santhamma showed in translating their vision into the setting up of quality educational institutions. The speech was followed by three of our Grade 12 students – B. Hariharan, Sankeerth Sankar and Rohan G Nair sharing their memories of their last four years in the school. Mrs. Aparna, our faculty and alumnus of the NPS Koramangala, recollected her school life and encouraged students to make the best use of opportunities that the school offers.
The video montage highlighting the founders, the NPS institutions and various events of the school over the last four years thrilled the students as they saw themselves partaking different roles. The entertaining quiz based on the school and the video enthused the gathering as the students vied each other to showcase their knowledge of the school. The programme ended on a bright note with Pranay Venkatesh proposing the vote of thanks.
The children of the younger grades were entreated to a video about the school, its founders and the school’s achievements. The day, on the whole, was not merely entertaining but also informative giving our children a sense of pride and honour.
