Grade 4 - CSI Deaf and Dumb School visit
The Grade 4 students were taken on a meaningful educational visit to the CSI Deaf and Dumb School, Santhome, with the aim of fostering empathy, inclusiveness, and social responsibility among young learners. The students were extremely eager and enthusiastic about the visit and looked forward to interacting with the children at the school.
As a gesture of love and friendship, our students prepared a lively dance performance, which they confidently showcased for the students of the CSI school. The performance was received with great appreciation and brought smiles and joy to everyone present. Following this, the students conducted a creative origami activity, during which they taught the children to make various paper-folding items such as dinosaurs, dogs, butterflies, rabbits, and many more. The activity encouraged teamwork, creativity, and joyful interaction among all the children.
Adding to the festive spirit, the teachers at the CSI school sang songs and warmly wished our students for the Christmas and New Year season, creating an atmosphere of celebration, warmth, and togetherness.
The students were then taken on a campus tour, where they visited classrooms and gained insight into the school’s learning environment and facilities. The experience helped them develop an understanding of how differently abled students engage with learning, encouraging reflection, appreciation, and a deeper awareness of inclusion and diversity. They observed the learning processes with interest and respect.
As part of the visit, our students also expressed their care and generosity by donating stationery items, toys, and board games for the children of the school. This act of giving helped reinforce the values of kindness, sharing, and compassion.
Overall, the visit to the CSI Deaf and Dumb School was a truly memorable and enriching experience for the Grade 4 students and teachers. It not only broadened their understanding of inclusivity but also taught them the importance of empathy, gratitude, and the joy of giving, the lessons that will remain with them for a lifetime.
