Guru Poornima 2021 - 2022

Guru Poornima marks reverence to the Guru or Teacher and is celebrated with much fervour at NPSI Chennai. On this occasion, a short yet informative video was shared across grades.

The celebrations began with the teachers wishing the students and talking to them about the relevance of the festival. They then played the video which explained when Guru Poornima is celebrated and its origin. Students were also told to invoke the blessings of their first gurus, their parents as a token of appreciation and gratitude for guiding them and helping them to evolve and grow.

The students learned to offer gratitude to their Gurus and were acquainted with some of great Gurus who have graced this land including Swami Vivekananda, Adi Shankaracharya and others. The soulful chanting of Sounds of Isha with Guru Paduka Stotram set the mood for the day. The students took advantage of this opportunity and thanked their teachers for their immense love, support and motivation.

The programme shared the essential virtues to be nurtured among students in a succinct manner.
