Independence Day 2018

NPS international, Chennai, celebrated the 72nd Independence Day with fervour and enthusiasm. The school was gay in ticolour, mobiles and lanterns adorned the corridors, bringing a festive air to the celebration.
Sporting tiny tricolor flags, children gathered in the quadrangle. The ceremony began with singing of patriotic songs in different languages.
The national flag was hoisted by the Principal, Mrs. Sudha Balan, followed by the general salute. The members of the faculty spoke on the occasion reinforcing the spirit of patriotism.
During her address the Principal stated each one can contribute to the progress of the nation in his or her own way.
The celebration was marked by hosting several competitions for the children i.e. poster making, pencil sketching, collage creation etc., students displayed their creativity and originality, resulting in a unique display of colours.
The day concluded with rendition of the National Anthem.
