Math Utsav 2025-2026
The school celebrated Math Utsav 2025–26 with great enthusiasm, transforming classrooms into vibrant spaces of mathematical exploration. Students from Grades 1 to 5, along with their parents, actively participated in interactive activities, presentations, and games that demonstrated how mathematics connects to everyday life.
Across all grades, students confidently explained mathematical concepts through hands-on activities, puzzles, and real-life applications. Younger students focused on basic number sense, patterns, time, measurement, fractions, and data handling, while older students explored operations, factors and multiples, decimals, fractions, geometry, data representation, and financial literacy.
The event included engaging activities such as math games, riddles, Sudoku, treasure hunts, surveys, graph building, and mathematical challenges. Students also demonstrated practical applications of math through activities like shopping simulations, market stalls, travel planning, cooking measurements, and budgeting exercises. These activities helped students connect classroom learning with real-world situations.
Creativity and cultural connections were highlighted through math in art, kolam patterns, symmetry activities, and origami shapes, while collaborative games and problem-solving tasks encouraged teamwork and critical thinking. Parents actively engaged with students by asking questions and participating in challenges, making the learning experience more interactive and meaningful.
Overall, Math Utsav was a joyful celebration of experiential learning that strengthened students’ confidence, curiosity, and communication skills. The event successfully demonstrated that mathematics becomes more engaging and meaningful when explored through hands-on activities, creativity, and real-life connections.
