Grade 1 & Grade 2 Pet Day
NPS celebrated Pet Day on 6th and 7th August 2025 as part of our EVS chapter on Animals. The event was organised to help students understand the bond between humans and animals, and to promote kindness, empathy, and responsibility towards pets.
The two-day celebration gave students enough time to participate and observe calmly. A wide range of pets were brought by the students, including dogs, hamster, birds and aquarium fish. The school foyer was filled with excitement, curiosity, and joy.
Students had the opportunity to introduce their pet and speak about its name, food habits, living space, and how they take care of it. The gentle and friendly nature of the dogs impressed everyone, while the tiny hamsters brought smiles to many faces. Chirping of the birds filled the little hearts with joy.
One of the most beautiful parts of the event was that it helped many learners overcome their fear of animals. Students who were initially hesitant slowly began to observe, learn and relate how animals teach us to be responsible. This positive exposure helped them grow more confident and comfortable around animals.
Our Principals, Teachers and Parents addressed the students and spoke about the importance of treating animals with care and compassion.
To express gratitude, students made handmade thank-you cards and gave them to the parents who brought their pets. This simple gesture added warmth and appreciation to the event.
The two-day Pet Day celebration was not only fun and informative but also deeply meaningful. It taught students how to care for animals, encouraged confidence, and reminded us that animals are our friends and companions.
