Assembly Grade 10 C, 2024-2025
"Freedom is never dear at any price. It is the breath of life. What would a man not pay for living?”
- Mahatma Gandhiji
At NPSI, each class assembly is a special occasion. The students of Grade 10 C had an excellent opportunity to showcase their theme” Independence” in their assembly. This theme is very significant for them to develop an understanding of India's freedom struggle, the sacrifices made by freedom fighters and the importance of upholding democratic values. It also instills in them a feeling of patriotism, solidarity and fraternity. The students displayed their teamwork, camaraderie, and resourcefulness in preparing for and presenting their program.
The speech on independence set the tone for the program. Besides the Indian freedom struggle, students also enacted vital events such as Bastille Day, Boston tea party along with the Dandi March, to ensure that the struggle for freedom from across the world is clearly understood.
The news anchors presented a digest of events around the world, keeping young minds informed about what is happening globally, nationally, and locally. The audience hung on every word of the news. This fosters a sense of civic responsibility and awareness of societal issues in them.
Following the news was the most anticipated activity, which allowed students to participate eagerly and answer with great zeal and curiosity. As always, the quiz witnessed enthusiastic participation from the audience.
The standout moment of the show was the extraordinary effort from the children, who worked together to present a captivating dance and the same was met with great appreciation from the audience, who expressed their enjoyment through cheers and applause. A stupendous effort by the children in collaborating and rendering the mellifluous music through their band was also the highlight of the show.
The event concluded with expressions of gratitude to the Principal, Vice Principals, teachers, and support staff, acknowledging their contributions to the assembly's success. The assembly engaged the audience and made them value the freedom and the independence that they have gained by the efforts of millions of others.
