Assembly Grade 2C, 2024-2025
The students of Grade 2C recently presented their class assembly on the important virtue of honesty. The event began with a brief yet meaningful introduction to the idea of virtues, setting the tone for what was to follow.
One of the highlights of the program was a skit based on the timeless tale of "The Honest Woodcutter." In this story, a woodcutter loses his axe in a river and a goddess appears, offering him both a golden and a silver axe. True to his character, the woodcutter refuses the gifts, explaining that they aren’t his. His honesty impresses the goddess, who rewards him not only with the golden and silver axes but also with his lost one. This simple yet powerful message about the importance of honesty captured the attention of the audience.
Following the skit, a group pf students took to the stage with a lively dance performance to Pharrell Williams’ uplifting song, "Happy." Their energy and enthusiasm left everyone smiling and tapping their feet.
The program then moved to a thoughtful segment where the students shared famous quotes from renowned personalities, emphasizing the value of honesty. This was followed by a fun and engaging quiz, led by student quiz masters, which had the Grade 1 and 2 students actively participating.
To wrap up the assembly, the students of 2C united for a spirited rendition of "Shine Bright Like a Diamond," their voices filling the room with joy and excitement. The event concluded with a warm vote of thanks from one of the students. The event not only allowed students to develop confidence and showcase their talents but also nurtured a sense of teamwork among them.
