The Grade 4C students hosted an engaging program celebrating the diverse festivals of Australia. The event commenced with a warm welcome address by the students.
Following the welcome, the students showcased various Australian festivals, highlighting their cultural significance. They presented interesting insights into celebrations such as Adelaide festival, The Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Parrtjima and Byron Bay Bluesfest, emphasizing the rich traditions and customs associated with each festival. One of the highlights of the program was an energetic performance of the famous Australian bush dance. The students showcased their dancing skills, involving the audience in this traditional form of celebration, which is characterized by lively music and fun group interactions. Next, the students shared News, sports news and incredible facts about Australian festivals. They captured the audience’s attention with stories about unique festival activities and their historical backgrounds, demonstrating their thorough research and enthusiasm. To engage the audience further, quiz masters conducted an interactive quiz . Participants eagerly answered questions, and prizes were awarded to those who answered correctly, adding an element of excitement to the event. The program then shifted to a medley of songs by renowned Australian pop singer Sia, performed by the students. Talented musicians played the guitar, violin, and keyboard, creating a beautiful melody that resonated with the audience. To enhance the performance, two students showcased their gymnastics skills, adding a dynamic visual element to the musical presentation. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, where a student acknowledged the hard work of the students and the support from parents and staff. Overall, the program was a vibrant celebration of Australian culture, showcasing the students’ talents and their understanding of the country’s rich festival heritage.
