Assembly: Grade 6 D
While school assemblies are always a lovely way for students to showcase their talents, Grade 6D’s assembly went above and beyond to deliver. With a theme of, “Everyone is unique and Special,” their assembly took the form of a talent show where every individual talent was displayed to the audience’s enthusiastic admiration.
The three anchors kept the audience hooked with their camaraderie as they introduced their classmates’ performances. After an invocation to Lord Ganesh, called Mudagarata modagam, a student brought out the thought for the day, on the uniqueness of every individual.
Then 6D’s instrument team then took over the stage to play “Varaha Roopam,” using the veena, keyboard, guitar, and mridangam to the thunderous applause. The stand-up comedy interludes, and the songs that followed were quite enjoyable. When it was time for the poets of 6D to take center stage, students presented poems they had written about the uniqueness of each individual: “Thanithuvam” in Tamil, and a Hindi poem that elucidated the same idea. Alongside the poets were translators, who explained the poems in English for anyone present who could not follow along.
Students of 6D wrapped up their Assembly with an elaborate vote of thanks, where in addition to thanking the Principal, Coordinators, Class Teacher, and other staff for the opportunity and support, they highlighted the role of their classmates on the Tech team who had helped make the show a vibrant one with their apt and colourful images. The show ended on a high note after the 2-year hiatus with sweet memories and team spirit.
