Assembly: Grade 6 A
Since the year was coming to a close when the students of Grade 6A were to present their assembly, they had chosen the apt theme, “New Year’s Resolutions.” The students took the audience on an interesting journey to witness the various New Year’s resolutions that they had made for the following year, and imagined how things would play out. The first skit followed a group of friends who had resolved to wake up early in the morning, and the consequences of trying to keep to their word. The second group had resolved to win accolades in the school’s Co-Curricular Competitions, but the process of choosing new instruments to play was a more daunting task. Joining them was the third group of friends, who planned to win a trip to Disneyland; the prize for winning a story-writing competition. The sports team decided to work like their sports idol, P V Sindhu to make it huge in their favourite sport, badminton. The final group shared their impressive resolution of pursuing an eco-friendly sustainable lifestyle, and recounted the struggles and successes that come with it. Throughout the presentations, the students of 6A demonstrated how they had helped one another, and motivated each other and built up their confidence when they found it tough to follow their resolutions. With perseverance, they managed to achieve their resolutions and were rewarded for the same. The students also gave a stirring rendition of “Waving Flag.”
The students of 6A left the audience with the following thought for the day:
“1st of January is the first blank page of a 365 pages book 2023.
Write a wonderful one with 12 interesting chapters.”
