Grade 7 Field Trip - Coral Beach Resort
On 17th February 2025, students of Grade 7 embarked on a recreational field trip to Coral Beach Resort, ECR. The day began with a bus journey to the Shore Temple. Upon arrival, students explored the ancient sculptures, including depictions of elephants and lions. They observed the intricate artwork, engaged in discussions, and asked insightful questions about the historical significance of the site.
Following the visit, they proceeded to the resort. The resort staff greeted them with a refreshing welcome drink and adorned each student with a shell necklace. The day’s activities commenced in the main hall, where an energetic host conducted interactive games, ensuring active participation. After a brief introduction, students were divided into three teams, each led by a student leader. The first task involved teaching and performing simple dance steps within a short timeframe, setting a lively tone for the day.
Subsequent activities included team-based games where students earned points for their respective teams. Games involved passing a paper cup using only a straw, a relay-style ball-passing challenge, and an arch formation game requiring coordination and teamwork and passing-the-hoop game that required individual flexibility, coordination and balance. These activities engaged the students and encouraged collaboration.
Lunch was served in a buffet format, offering a variety of food options. Post-lunch, students explored different recreational areas. Some played in the outdoor park with swings and slides, while others engaged in indoor games such as carom, chess, and table tennis. Outdoor sports like football and badminton provided further opportunities for active participation. This free-play session allowed students to interact, build teamwork, and strengthen friendships.
The final session in the main hall included a closing dance where all students participated enthusiastically. Chocolates were distributed as prizes for each student, followed by high tea, consisting of snacks and beverages.
The day concluded with a return bus journey to school. The trip provided a balance of learning, physical activity, and social interaction, making it a memorable experience for all students.
