The language of Music is universal and plays an important role in our life. The SaPa organisation, headed by musicians, Ms. Bindu and Mr. Ambi Subramaniam is an initiative undertaken to impact the cognitive abilities of a child through music.

Students part of Early Learning and Grades 1 – 5 had the opportunity to be exposed to a workshop conducted by SaPa. The children had an interactive session with the members giving them an insight into the different aspects of music. They enjoyed learning and listening to the violin and also understood the technique of clapping to a song. The children were encouraged to sing folk songs, Carnatic and Konnakol to their appropriate tune and rhythm. The children were also entreated to tunes created on the iPad. The session heightened the musical abilities of the children as they learnt not just to sing but also to enjoy music.
