Assembly Grade 3D, 2023-2024

Topic: Green Earth

“Small acts of kindness to the Earth, like planting a tree or conserving water, may seem insignificant, but together, they can create a greener and more renewable world”.

The Green Earth Assembly for Grade 3D was convened to in still environmental awareness and promote sustainable practices among young students. It served as a platform to educate and inspire children to become stewards of the planet, emphasizing the importance of conservation and eco-friendly habits.

Children represented themselves in various roles to convey the message to the audience. The assembly kicked started with the ‘Daily happenings and further proceeded with a panel talk that exhibited the positive and negative impact the society partakes on the planet. They confidently expressed their thoughts focussing from climate change to waste generation and conservation efforts to individual actions based on the 3R’s. They imbibed the qualities of being comedians and staged up an interactive show by posing questions and giving appreciation.

To continue the spirit of responsibility, the children introduced themselves through various characters in a skit and showcased the fundamental platform for fostering environmental awareness, advocacy and actions. They tried to impart knowledge and inspire others to join together and prove that even the smallest actions can lead to big changes for saving the planet. They concluded their thought with the song “Heal the world” sung by Michael Jackson.

The assembly ended with the vote of thanks proposed by the children to the principal, the teachers, support staff and most importantly, their own friends, who were the inspiration behind the show.
