Grade 6B Assembly
Grade 6B presented a thoughtful and engaging class assembly on the theme “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat – Empathy Across States.” The assembly began with a warm welcome by the student anchors, followed by a meaningful Thought for the Day that set the tone for empathy, understanding, and compassion.
The students shared interesting facts related to empathy by introducing Sanskrit words such as Sah Anubhuti and Athithi Devo Bhava. Each term was clearly explained, helping the audience understand how these values are rooted in Indian culture and guide our behaviour towards others.
A key highlight of the assembly was a skit depicting the impact of Cyclone Michaung in Tamil Nadu. The performance sensitively portrayed the difficulties faced by people during natural disasters. The role-play of representatives from different states coming together to support Tamil Nadu effectively conveyed the idea of national unity and shared responsibility.
The quiz segment encouraged active participation from students of various grades. The questions helped reinforce the message of empathy and its importance in everyday life. Cultural performances added depth to the theme by celebrating unity in diversity.
The assembly concluded with a musical and dance performance. Students sang the song “Vellai Pookal,” which conveyed a message of peace, accompanied by live instrumentals. This was followed by an energetic dance performance to “Treat People with Kindness,” which was well received by the audience.
The assembly ended with a sincere vote of thanks, acknowledging the guidance of teachers, the support of parents, and the efforts of all participating students. Overall, the assembly effectively highlighted how empathy strengthens unity across our nation.
