Assembly: Grade 5 D

The students of Grade 5D put together their 1st offline assembly with the theme ‘Thriller’ in mind.

They began by welcoming the students of Grade 3 to 5. Students read the International, State and Sports news with enthusiasm.

A group of students enacted as the members of The Arts Lovers Club who meet to discuss the artforms that depicted the theme. In this skit, the members discuss the genres that make a good combination with Thriller like mystery and horror. They talk about books like ‘The Secret Seven’ and ‘The Famous Five’; and comics like Scooby Doo. Six students take to the stage to sing the theme song of ‘Scooby Doo’ which is then followed by a discussion on music – Michael Jackson’s famous song ‘Thriller’. It is also linked to special days celebrated like Halloween.

The Riddle time with the audience was a welcome brain-teaser which the young looked forward to.

Grade 5D drew the curtains on their assembly with a vote of thanks and invited Ms. Poulami to share her thoughts on the assembly.
