Assembly Grade 3B, 2024-2025
The students of Grade 3B conducted a vibrant and informative assembly on Diwali, one of the most celebrated festivals in India. The assembly aimed to educate the school about the significance of Diwali, its traditions, and the universal message of the triumph of good over evil.
The objective of the assembly was to create awareness about Diwali and to encourage the values of kindness, respect, unity, and light over darkness in all aspects of life.
The assembly began with a warm welcome by the host students. They introduced the topic, giving a brief description of Diwali as the Festival of Lights, celebrated across India and by Indians worldwide. Followed by this was thought for the day and news.
A group of students shared insightful facts about how Diwali is celebrated across the world. They also explained the mythological story of Lord Rama’s return to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile and the defeat of Ravana, Lord Krishna defeating the demon Narakasura, symbolising the victory of good over evil. A lively and colourful dance performance was presented by a group of students, depicting traditional Diwali celebrations. Dressed in traditional attire, they danced to the beats of festive songs, bringing out the joy and spirit of Diwali.
The assembly also included a Diwali-themed song sung by the students, sharing the joy, love, and togetherness that Diwali brings to all families and communities.
The presentation concluded with a teacher sharing words of appreciation for the students' hard work. She reminded everyone to carry forward the message of Diwali throughout the year by spreading love, light, and positivity in every situation.
The Grade 3B assembly on Diwali was a grand success. It not only showcased the talents of the students but also enriched everyone’s understanding of the festival’s cultural, spiritual, and environmental aspects. The audience were left with a sense of joy and a renewed commitment to celebrating Diwali in an eco-conscious manner.
