Assembly Grade 5A, 2024-2025
At NPSI, each class assembly is a special occasion, and Grade 5A’s presentation on "Positive Affirmations" was no exception. The assembly kicked off with an exploration of the power of affirmations, setting a positive tone for the event. The themes for each assembly are carefully chosen after a detailed brainstorming session between the teacher and students, ensuring balance between children’s choices and their alignment with the school vision.
The ‘Thought of the Day’ emphasized the importance of spreading positivity and maintaining a positive mindset. The news anchors then provided a brief overview of significant global and local events.
A dance performance themed around positive affirmations added momentum to the assembly as the audience clapped to the rhythms of the peppy numbers selected by the students. The graceful movements and synchronized choreography beautifully illustrated the essence of affirmations. Students danced to the tune of “All is Well” and “Aashayein” which reiterated positivity.
Children shared their experiences with books like Courage, The Secret etc., discussing how these resources have helped build their confidence and resilience. Listening to students talk about world-renowned books and their messages was inspirational for students and teachers in the audience.
A participatory campaign encouraged the audience to create and share their own positive affirmations, fostering engagement and personal reflection. Students shared their experience on how repeating affirmations daily has helped them gain confidence and everyone should benefit from positive affirmations. The assembly also featured a soul-stirring performance of the song ‘Wave Your Flag,’ which resonated with the theme of positivity.
A fun quiz on riddles, rebus puzzles, and the T20 World Cup 2024 witnessed enthusiastic participation from the audience enhancing the interactive experience.
The event concluded with expressions of gratitude to the Principal, Vice Principals, teachers, and support staff, acknowledging their contributions to the assembly's success.
