Grade 12 Field Trip - Yelagiri
The Class 12 field trip to Yelagiri was a well-planned and enriching experience, providing students with a much-needed break from their academic routine. Organized with a focus on recreation, bonding, and experiential learning, the trip proved to be both enjoyable and educational.
The first destination was Fundera Park, a beautifully maintained ecological park. Students had the unique opportunity to interact closely with birds, feeding them and observing their behavior. Many birds, unafraid, perched on the students’ hands and shoulders, creating moments of joy and connection with nature. The park also housed other animals, including rabbits, camel , exotic fish etc which added to the students’ fascination and understanding of diverse species. This activity fostered an appreciation for wildlife among the students.
Following this, we visited Thrill Valley, where the students engaged in several safe yet adventurous activities. The zip line was particularly popular, allowing them to experience the thrill of soaring above the picturesque landscape. Other activities, such as rope courses, rock climbing, etc were conducted under the supervision of trained professionals, ensuring safety at all times. These experiences encouraged teamwork, resilience, and physical coordination among the students.
The group enjoyed a wholesome lunch, which provided a moment to relax and share their excitement. The day concluded with nature trails and group activities, which reinforced camaraderie among the students and teachers.
The trip successfully achieved its objectives of offering a well-deserved respite from the pressures of studies while promoting personal growth and bonding. It was a rewarding experience that left the students rejuvenated and motivated, ready to tackle their academic commitments.
