Grade 8 Field Trip - Mahabalipuram
On February 10, 2025, the Grade 8 students embarked on an exciting field trip to Pancha Rathas in Mahabalipuram, followed by a visit to Coral Resort on ECR Road. The trip aimed to provide students with an educational and recreational experience, combining historical learning with engaging activities.
The journey began with a visit to Pancha Rathas, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its magnificent rock-cut temples. These five monolithic structures, each dedicated to different deities, showcased the brilliance of Pallava-era architecture. Students were captivated by the intricate carvings and the distinct Dravidian style.
After exploring Pancha Rathas, the students proceeded to Coral Resort, where they were welcomed with a refreshing drink. The day continued with a series of interactive activities, beginning with icebreaker games to encourage bonding among students.
They then participated in various individual and team games, including outdoor and indoor activities designed to promote teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership skills. A delicious vegetarian lunch was served, allowing students to relax and recharge before engaging in a lively music and dance session.
As the day progressed, students enjoyed high tea, followed by a prize distribution ceremony to recognize outstanding participation in the activities. The trip concluded with a cheerful check-out and departure, leaving students with joyful memories of the day.
